Who We Are

Who we Are

Bernie and Kevin are Freedom Dressage.

We own five horses ourselves; three Hanoverian dressage horses, a Dutch warm blood mare and our 23 years young thoroughbred mare, stable name Muffin.

This involvement with horses sparked our initial interest in forming the company. We found it increasingly difficult to buy quality equestrian products. So we set about sourcing products that we had used ourselves and could therefore speak with authority and knowledge of the long term use of these products. We still do not sell any products that we have not tried, tested and approved ourselves. We do reject products that do not meet the standards we believe our customers and certainly ourselves demand.

The products we currently stock are as follows;

Anky Technical Casuals, Pikeur, Gersemi, East, Euro-Star and Schockemoehle sports.

Anky Technical Casuals

Triple Olympic Champion Anky van Grunsven was convinced that there was a huge need for a fashionable line of clothing and related products, which combines technical materials with optimal comfort, quality and usability

Anky van Grunsven is really devoted to composing, designing and testing the collections. Every year ATC® releases two collections on the market, one for ladies and one for men. Every winter they launch a Kids’ collection. Besides these collections, there is a wide selection of standard articles available for rider and horse.

All ATC® articles are manufactured with high-tech materials with specific technical functionalities and properties which makes them suitable for many different sporting activities. When Anky first created this line her goal was to produce a range of clothing for sporting amateurs and professionals. Clothes that help them perform at their best in all weather conditions, whilst remaining comfortable and fashionable.

ATC® cooperates closely with leading suppliers of high- tech materials to ensure access to the latest developments in high-tech material innovations. Our technologies have been tested in a variety of highly respected laboratories and practical wear trails. The result has been nothing less than excellent.

The ATC® team keeps a close eye on European fashion, to incorporate the latest  trends in design and colour into the collections. That makes the ATC® range ideal for the fashion conscious sportsperson!

Pikeur

Pikeur Sportswear is a range of exquisitely cut fashion clothing which will take you from the stable to the high street.

Eskadron

From the same stable as Pikeur, Eskadronhorse wear and equipment has been developed with input from a range of top riders, in particular Ludger Beerbaum.

From rugs and boots to saddlecloths and grooming boxes,
Eskadron
's range comprises, quite simply, some of the best equestrian equipment available.

Eskadron is always innovative and responsive, both to fashion and technology, and presents riders who seek the highest standards with unparalleled choice.

Gersemi

Gersemi used to be Kyra K. It was re-branded as Gersemi in 2009; same designer and the same manufacture. Gersemi is now the equestrian fashion brand with a passion for quality, making people feel confidently stylish. Gersemi promises outstanding quality and design.

Konig

Konig was founded by Anton Königs in 1850. At first mainly working shoes for farmers and field workers were made, but later on the armed forces ordered shoes and boots for their soldiers.
In 1990 the company produced exclusive first-class riding boots.
The traditional office located in the heart of Erkelenz Tenholt nowadays employs 44 staff and the product they make is highly reputed among riders all over the world.
Königs-boots are distinguished by excellent leather and a very complex individual workmanship involving a good deal of manual work. Königs-boots are still manufactured exclusively in Erkelenz.

Whether your passion lies with piaffe, poles, post and rail or polished horses, Konig boots are the footwear of champions.

With fans of the brand including Olympic dressage rider Carl Hester, show-jumping legend Tim Stockdale and other top professional riders including eventer Jeanette Brakewell and  top showing name Louise Bell, professional and amateur riders alike appreciate and understand the investment that owning a pair of Konig Boots offers. Offering long lasting, high quality, elegance these riding boots that stand the test of time, however tough the going gets in the saddle!

This season sees riders across all disciplines snapping up all shades of brown, taupe, nougat and chocolate!

The most popular dressage boot is the grandgester. It is fully lined with a calfskin inner, sturdy heel cap with hand stitched seams and whalebone reinforcement on the outer side of the leg. Being crafted from the finest box calf the boots soften and mould to the riders leg therefore helping the rider feel the horse and being able to apply light effective leg aids.
The high, dressage cut top, adds to the stunning overall appearance, whilst the leather sole is welted for long term wear and performance, making this the ideal boot for everyday riding as well as competition use.

There are a number of zip options but the one most recognised as a Konig trademark is that of the front, off centre full length zip. It ensures ease of fit, doesn’t interfere with performance and is hardwearing – as well as being the sign of style!

Passier

For anyone who places value on top quality, Passier products are a wise choice. Because all Passier saddles, bridles, saddle girths, stirrup leathers, etc. are handmade. They have been since 1867 - from the highest quality materials from selected suppliers. And that will surely remain so in the future.

Bridles and accessories from the hands of a master. Passier is "The spirit of riding. Since 1867." A high standard to live up to. And this is done every day anew. The Passier products of today are the result of more than 140 years of experience. A lot has changed since the founding of G. Passier & Sohn. Especially in riding. Nonetheless, Passier saddles, bridles, and accessories are still around. And that's a good sign. Because it is proof that quality combined with tradition succeeds.

Sprenger

In 1872, Hermann Sprenger founded a factory for riding accessories. Today, Herm Sprenger GmbH remains a family owned company, with 160 employees, led by the fourth generation of the original founder.

All products that are marked with the HS logo are manufactured at the factory in Iserlohn – so you can be certain of the “made in Germany” label. Their mission is to ensure the products reach the highest possible standards of quality. This is achieved by using only the finest materials and components available, intensive employee training and extensive quality control testing after each stage of production.
The product range offers outstanding quality for the price.

Schockemoehle Sports

The Schockemoehle Sports GmbH was founded in 2005 as supplier of riding equipment for horse and rider and is therefore a young but also already established brand within the equestrian branch. They have the ambition to set new standards in the riding sports by developing well-engineered and sophisticated high-quality products, which also implicate aesthetic and fashion trends.

For decades the name Schockemoehle is inseparably linked to successful top equestrian sports. This is the fundamental component of their vision: to establish Schockemoehle Sports worldwide as a premium equestrian brand.

The start was tremendously successful encouraging them to multiply their efforts in favour of a matchless brand performance. Thus Schockemoehle Sports products will be created to inspire more and more riders worldwide.
